The dripped glaze of this mug from Brooklyn-based ceramicist Kevin Wilcoxson is left entirely up to chance, making each piece entirely unique.

Measurements: Approximately 4.5" tall x 3.5" wide

This item is handmade. Each piece is crafted, fired and glazed individually, with no two identical pieces. Your piece will vary slightly from the item pictured.
Each piece is individually signed by the artist.

The porcelain is fired in the kiln to 2250 degrees Fahrenheit resulting in translucent, food safe, oven safe and dishwasher safe porcelain tableware.

Kevin Wilcoxson specializes in fine ceramics. Each porcelain piece is handmade combining traditional Mingei style Japanese Art and Industrial Design to make a “New Modern” style of functional porcelain. Mingei is the handcrafted art of ordinary people and coined by Yanagi Soetsu, who saw beauty in the ordinary and utilitarian objects made by unknown craftsmen. For Yanagi, everyday objects made by common folk are beyond beauty and ugliness. Mingei crafts are typically produced by hand in quantities, inexpensive, used by the masses, functional in daily life and representative of the region where the objects are produced.

Handmade in Brooklyn, NY.
